Well, due to overwhelming (unanimous, in fact) response, I ordered a set of Diamondbacks, today. $800.00, and 2-3 weeks later, I should have Horries' new shoes! That's right, $200.00 each (incl shipping; $175.00, if 'you' want the 'custom' (& correct) 2 1/4" wide-whites, along with the 1/2" "black-gap", between the inner-circumference (@ the wheel) and the lower-edge of the white wall: no "Gangsta-white-wall" appearance. As far as o.a. tire diameter, the O.E.M. 8.50x14" bias plys were 28.1" , the (New-)Cokes 235/75R14's are 27.8", the Diamondbacks ("metric": 215R14's) are 27.6", the generic P225/75R14's are 27.2" . So, in exchange for "reliabilty" and a correct 2 1/4" w-w-w, I'm giving-up .2" in o.a. tire-height, (which the Cokers' offer.) Those of you who can afford to wait 2+ years may find that some-other manufacturer might finally make a 235/75R14 tire, (which DB might, then, be able to apply a w-w-w thereto) .Also, Coker, may finally be able to fix their "reliability" and/or "warranty" issues, AND make a correct 2 1/4" w-w-w tire. For those of y'all who might already be runnin the 'snake-skins' , their recommendation is for 38 p.s.i. , front-and-rear.
