All, The 300C model is gorgeous - you have picked up a couple of flaws, but for 1/10 the price of the fantastic Danbury Diecast, it is a steal. Regarding the '59 361 Golden Commando - only had one four-barrel, rated at 305 horsepower. The block & valve covers were painted Golden Lion Gold as I recall. Since it was a four barrel only, it got the full size air cleaner, not the ovals. My recollection is from the years I pal'd around with my buddy, Paul Clima, who had the baddest, @#$-kicking NSX '59 Sport Fury running Cotati, Half Moon Bay & Fremont Dragstrips in NoCal in 1960-1962: running completely stock, times of 14.95 ets; then had motor blueprinted & balanced, still stock, pushing times down to 14.10s - them Pontiac NSX's didn't stand a chance!
