Extra Expense for More Performance

I am enjoying this back and forth about the true value of some of these
performance items under normal driving conditions. I wouldn't say, though, that
we are "all" spending a little bit of extra money to get more performance.

To be honest, I am satisfied when the cars will start, are running on all 8
cylinders, and that they stop and shift properly. If any of them have lost a
few seconds off their 0-60 acceleration times while sitting in the garage for
the last ten years, I'm not complaining.
