joel hunter's 72 imperial

the car has been sitting at a lot for a while. i pestered the guy from
august to april to get it. a few test drives here and there but it mostly
sat. the yellow ignition wire under the dash above the brake pad is loose
and causes the car not to turn over unless you giggle it a little. a week
before i got it i did a test drive. a little white smoke came out the pipes
but only for a few seconds. once it was on the street it seemed strong. a
little was coming from under the hood but only thin like burining an incense
stick so i wasn't worried. i ran it all last weekend( at least 50 miles or
so), even on the highway. it leaks oil in two spots. at the intake manifold
on the driver's side (gasket i guess) and on the back near the middle of the
firewall where it meets the 727. this was weird too. the white smoke i
thought was coming from the block is actually trans fliud dripping off from
the dip stick. i pulled over today and it seemed to spew up from the dip
stick cylinder and drip onto the headers and smoke. well i hope thats the
only area fliud is coming out from. the oil on the back of the block triclke
its way around the bottom of the pan where the 727 meets and drips off. its
lost half a quart maybe. sunday the engine started squeeking. it was faint
at first. i was gassing it up at walmart. periodically, it would stop, then
start. it is faint once i'm in gear and moving. today is was louder. maybe
cuz of the oil leak i dont know. i thought i was the belts, the pulley, or
possibly The manifold heat control valve. if anybody can give me
suggestions, that would be great
