My torque converter on cast iron Torqueflite "leaks down" after it has sat a day or two. When you restart the car, the torque converter has to refill back up. I have read of this problem with the aluminum Torqueflite, it is probably the same situation. If I drive away to soon, fluid gushes out the top of the dipstick opening. What is the problem / what is the cure ? Is it the torque converter seal which presses into the opening of the converter gear splines ? Is it the front pump hydraulic system, including the pump and internal gears/gaskets? Is it an internal problem in the torque converter? Thanks, Paul
