And definitely DON'T use more than the lightest dab of lube: any oil pooled in the bottom of the hole will form a hydraulic sealed compartment and will make correct torquing impossible => doing it all again soon. You can buy a lube specifically for assembling components at any auto supply store. And finally I'd torque in two steps: first to about 75% of spec, then up to full spec.
