I have a 1996 Grand Cherokee - bought it from a friend - only has 50,000 miles. It has a difficult time starting on the first crank. And when it does catch on the second try, it often stalls. A friend told me that I need what's called a Hall Effect Sensor [or monitor]and that it's not very expensive. But I'd like to know some info before I take it into a dealer and have them tell me I need $1,000 worth of whatever. Any help would be appreciated.
