It could be done, but probably not with that tranny. The better question is why? You will not gain performance. The parts availability is still great for a flathead, and I am convinced that a flathead will run forever. Unless you have blown yours up, I would stick with the flathead. It would be cheaper to rebuild it than to buy and rebuild a slant six and make the brackets and other periphery to run it. Besides, you see slants every day, but not flatties. If you must swap motors, just put in a v-8 and be done with it.
