My old man was a hottrodder too and he once told me that back in the day, to make a flamethrower, they would drill holes at the end of each tailpipe and stick spark plugs with the leads cut through in the holes...
Then they'd run a hot wire to each plug connected to a switch in the car somewhere...
Then they'd just ran the carb up rich as hell... He does admit the gas was better then though...
You'd probably have to soup up the fuel now...
