I, and others, have said that "all" anyone needs to do, Re: rear drums, is have your 'shop' knock/drive/pop-out the flange-studs, and, then, replace them (which have press-fitted "swaged" shoulders) with standard round-shouldered wheel studs, & VOILA: the drums now 'fall-off' the axles, just like any other 'modern' drums--no need to replace the axles--just like the old expresion: "Throwing the baby 'out', with the bathwater"!!
