Hey everyone, I've got a question. Has anyone done zinc electroplating at home? For those of you who don't know what zinc plating is, it's the yellowish color on most washers, etc. I know that new strut rod washers are zinc plated, that's the only example I can come up with off the top of my head. Anyway, I know it's possible to do at home because there are tons of kits out there that let you do just that. The reason why I'm asking is these kits are expensive and knowing the ingenuity of the forwardlook crowd, I know someone's got to know how to do it with household items. I'm willing to spend a little money but not a ton like the kits cost. I'm mainly just wanting to do the washers and all the other small parts that were supposed to be zinc plated on the '58 Plymouth. I know this question doesn't particularly pertain to forward look cars but it does in a way. If anyone knows how to do this or knows of a website that explains how to do it, I'd be more than appreciative. Thanks, Arthur Ash III
