I disagree with the "do not sandblast" comment. I've restored two vehicles and had both of them sandblasted... the trick is to find someone who knows what they're doing. Anyone can sandblast short curvy parts... it takes a pro to do flat panels (roofs, hoods, doors, quarter panels, trunk lids) correctly and not warp them... which can happen quickly if not done correctly. I will continue to use the sandblaster I've used... I absolutely hate using chemical strippers on vehicles unless it's a small area with no places for the stripper to hide in... because I've heard stories of it leeching back out when the humidity goes up, it rains, etc...
