As I understand it....The '55 Plymouth had a Dodge engine and it wasn't until '56 Plymouth had their own V/8, which is the 277 (or 301 in the Fury). This is the engine that lasted til '66 in the form of the 318. The Dodge Poly was very similar to the Hemi and would accept Hemi heads.
