okay, we're beating this one to death, and I dont have my 59 Ply HT anymore, so I cannot verify (we could ask Jason), but I am thinking '59 Plymouths did NOT have the separate vent tube as described by MikeB. The filler pipe did have an internal tube, which I figured was for allowing air to escape from the tank as fuel went in...if this internal tube didnt exist, a "burp" might occur, spraying the attendant with fuel.
