why would you install a gauge then hide it---the purpose of gauges is to see a problem as it progresses and correct it before it gets out of hand---if you hide it you might as well not have one---it's not like a cd changer-that if hidden you still get the benefits---you do have two choices---replace stock gauge or install a new after market where you can see it---you should be able to find a stock guage fairly easy---hope i helped---later---chuck lowe
