Hi, we just got a 60 DeSoto Fireflite 4dr hardtop. My wife, Mary Jo, saw it and had to have it because it was "so cute." I’m not complaining. It’s a great chance to own another old MOPAR. Mary Jo went from thinking cars are just for transportation to loving old cars. We got a 67 Newport convertible supposedly for me 3 years ago and she quickly decided it was hers. She even sold her Explorer last February and drives the Chrysler to work and around town every day. Now that she has the “cute” DeSoto maybe I’ll get the convertible back. The DeSoto is in nice shape. It has a solid rust-free body and good drive train, it runs and drives well. The interior needs only a little help the back seat looks like new, but the cloth part of the front seat has some tears in it. It also needs a headliner. Overall it’s a great driver. If anyone know a source for a headliner, I’d appreciate the information. Overall it’s a great driver. I’ve been looking at the old posts and am finding a lot of great information. It looks like there are a lot of knowledgeable people on this board and I’ll learn a lot. I’ve had forward look MOPARS in the past, but it’s been a long time. The first problem I’ve ran into with it is getting a second set of keys. I went to the local hardware store and after several minutes of looking they came up with and ignition keyblank, but couldn’t find a trunk keyblank. Does anyone know what the correct keyblank is for the trunk lock? The one I have is a Cole National Y141. Thanks in advance. Jeff
