when i did mine i used a 18in.breaker ratchet and a 3ft.pipe----busted my knuckles pretty good working upside down----even with a real socket it is tough----lots of muscle and sometime a little heat around the opening that receives the ball joint works----use heat as a last resort and let cool on it's own----when you reinstall torque to at least 125lbs. and make sure you thread straight------hope i helped----chuck lowe
