I'M TRANSPLANTING A '56 270 POLY THAT HAS A 4 SPEED(TOPLOADER) ATTACHED TO IT INTO A '57 PICKUP 6/3-SPD...... BUT IT IS DEFINATELY A GRINDBOX... BUT ONLY WHEN I HAVE TO SHIFT...:)......I'D LIKE TO USE THE TRANNY..DOES IT NEED ADJUSTMENTS/SYNCROS/REBUILD/A GOOD WHACK WITH A HAMMER??...OR SHOULD I JUST THROW IN A THREE SPEED,WOULD THE 6CYL ONE WORK ON THE V-8 OR SHOULD I PULL THE ONE OUT OF ANOTHER V-8 PARTS TRUCK I HAVE...COULD ANYONE TELL ME WHAT AUTOMATIC WOULD BE A DIRECT BOLT-IN WITH MY SET UP AND WHAT YEARS WOULD FIT,THE CROSSMEMBER ATTACHES TO THE BELL HOUSING IS THAT THE WAY THE AUTOMATICS DO TOO .THANKS..LISA......
