You have to remember the spindle adaptor does very little work. AAJ has thousands of miles on them without any issues. Roger knows what he is doing. It's a snug fit and the locktight does the job. He has it machined pretty good. Just try to get one off! The adaptor does two things. It brings out the spindle to meet the modern bearing and 2, the seal. The real work is when you pull it down against the taper, Try slipping the inner bearing onto the adaptor and see how loose it fits. Maybe that will help convince you that it's OK. If you put the spindle nut on the correct way, it will work fine. DON'T OVER TIGHTEN IT! Steve
