To try to ansewer your question. I have bought a 2-sp powerflite out of a 58 plymouth. The external housing and output shaft is longer from the plymouth about 2- 1/2". I have a 56 Imperial. I dont want to shorten my driveline. I have been told we can swap the external housing and output shaft from my 2sp to this other 2sp. After pulling the seven bolts that hold the housing on then pull the bolts from the rear oil pump then just slide out and slide my shaft in. I just wanted to here it from some other Mopar fan. Please let me know ASAP. Tim Hulse 661-589-9141 ex 231
