Are you refering to the cooling via lines to the lower radiator tank? If so, the small blocks were air cooled and the big blocks were cooled via the radiator. As to the actual engines for your year, I don't have my references in front of me. As I recall the air cooled tranny on the 57 was definitely on the 318. The cooling holes were covered by screen material, and it is quite obvious if you see one. Mike
