I wouldn't take the assembly guys word for it. Gary Pavlovich did an article in Mopar Muscle about a poly stroker. He got 425 horses out of it with no problems. The poly runs cooler than a big block and has almost all the free breathing characteristics of the Hemi. It's definitely a stout motor. I've seen old flatbed farm trucks with 200,000 plus miles with the poly motor still running strong. I know of one now retired (junkyard) poly plow truck that had 150,000 miles on it and ran for DAYS at a time straight when blizzards hit. The only reason the guy got rid of it was that the salt ate the body away. Keep your poly, it's a great motor.
