I've always thought the A engine mounts would hold up the B engines with the right modifications. Of course repro "B" mounts would be much easier,BUT there might be situations where even those may have to be modified a bit as well (deeper oil pans,overdrive trans.,etc) to get the best engine location. If you had some real oddball like a Milodon oil pan and a 5/6 speed manual trans.,I'm wondering whether it would make any difference whether you started with A or B mounts anyway (the degree of rework may be the same!)
