whew....that a mouth full...if i had to do mine over...it would be a 30 over 440 with trw flattop pistons that give you 8.75 to 1 compression...a mild set of 452 heads...they are the same as 906 but have hardened sets...use a 274? purple shaft it is the one below the 284...behind it would be an 727 with a hemi converter....behind that would be an 8.75 with either a 323 or 296 ratio....use manifolds and 2.25 " exhaust with flowmaster mufflers...we had this same set up in a 3900# 62 dodge dart b body wag...the car would run 14.00's all day in second gear...get between 15 and 17 miles to the gallon and on the expressway would cruise at 85 to 90 at 2200 to 2500 rpms...had a ball with car ...drove everywhere...drove around indy 500 track ...it took over an hour to do that and never would get over 195 with a 5/8 core 3 core radiator.... had a 750 holley vac. sec. carb and mopar performance electronic ign kit...an electric fan on a automatic switch would have brought it down to to about 185....we drove the car to indy goodguys and columbus goodguys and to a mopar show in southern ky...i sold it to a fellow in michigan and delivered it...8 hr 1 way....made it in 6.5 hrs....the motor was actually pretty cheap to build ...had trans pump changed to later style and tailshaft housing to slip in ...this was a pushbutton type...if you are going through all the work crossmember mods are nothing....depending on how nice the car is this could probably be done for around 2500... the air would be cake...if the motor is out , shave firewall where heater is go to a vintage air unit...something like a monster cooler...have ice cube coming out the dash.....gotta have premium tunes so thats a give me...put the tallest tire that looks right add a little rake....your on your way....let me know if you have any questions....brandon bdi automotive design....we bring dreams to life........859 363 0086
