An original '58 Fury CONVERTIBLE? Sorry,no such car was made, only '58 Belvedere convertibles! In fact, the '58 Fury was ONLY a 2-door hardtop and was only available with Buckskin Beige paint. You could get the 350 Golden Commando in the Belvedere (or any other '58 Plymouth),although the Fury had a dual four barrel 318 standard that was not available in other models. The first Fury convertible was in 1960,the '59 being a Sport Fury, technically speaking. It would be possible to re-trim a '58 Belvedere convertible,in fact 'Mopar Mel' in Minnesota has built at least one '58 "Fury" convertible! This is a neat car,and if the factory HAD built one it would have been exactly like his,BUT it left the factory as a Belvedere. Production of the '58 Fury 2-dr.HT was 5,303 and the '58 Belvedere convertible was 9,941. Sources for all this are 'The Standard Catalog of American Cars 1946-1975,3rd edition',the '58 Plymouth full-line brochure, and the special '58 Fury brochure. I hope somebody did not represent the car as an original '58 Fury convertible! DAVEN ANDERSON
