I have a '57 Plymouth Savoy 2 door sedan. In the shop manual, it presents a simple procedure for removing the inside door handle and window regulator handle. Unfortunately, it requires a special flat metal tool that I don't have. Supposedly, you line up this tool with an unseen spring clip and push while yanking on the handle. I've tried this procedure with coathangers and credit cards and have had no luck. I really want to remove the inner door panel but don't want to damage the vinyl. The car has been sitting in a garage since 1969 so things aren't happenign as easier as they do in the manual. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks! A frustrated Justin
