It's a wedgehead, which means that it's similar to most motors from the musclecar era. If it makes 300 bhp, you are looking at ROUGHLY 225 hp at the rear wheels. This is only an estimate however. Lots of things factor into net vs. gross horsepower. If you know how much the car weighs, you can get an estimate on the horsepower from the weight vs. quartermile time; there are some simple formulas that you can use to do this.
