--One thing I noted is that all the replacement 6x9 speakers for the 300K use different mounting holes.
I just measured the front speaker, and the holes are 6.44 on the long holes and 4.69 on the short holes. The depth is not an issue as the factory unit is 3.25 deep while some of the replacements are 2.32.
The Retro Sound R-69UK dual voice coil speakers are 6.44 by 4.69. I hope that the shape fills the big hole somewhat correctly so I do not have to make up some adaptor plates. I will not cut the rear deck…
I guess I will have to make up some small flat steel plates and rivet to the speaker so the little plate holes will line up with the factory plate on the front and the stamped holes in the rear deck webbing.
